The Spanish Minister of Economy , Industry and Competitiveness, during of his first visit to the CSIC, has toured the “Manuel Rico” High Field NMR laboratory in the Rocasolano Institute of Physical Chemistry. 

The Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation, Carmen Vela, and the President of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research, Rosa Menéndez, joined the Minister during the tour. This was the first visit of the Minister to a public insititution since entering office.

The “Manuel Rico” High Field NMR laboratory in the Rocasolano Institute of Physical Chemistry is equipped with state-of-the-art techniques in the field of nuclear magnetic spectrocopy. This facility is used for solving problems related to structural biology and molecular recognition between biomolecules. The laboratory is a CSIC facility, available to all the scientific community in the public and private sector.
