Seminario impartido por Diego Megias, del ISCIII

Confocal microscopy is an advanced optical imaging technique that enhances resolution and contrast, allowing for precise, high-resolution imaging of samples. Confocal microscopy enables 3D reconstruction of structures at various depths and it is widely used in biological and medical research for detailed visualization of cellular and subcellular structures, including in live cells, tissues, and developmental processes. Applications extend to material science, nanotechnology, and drug discovery, offering crucial insights into structural and functional dynamics. Latest advances are expanding even more its use, including super resolution, deep imaging, halftime calculations and spatial biology allowing an endless number of possibilities.
